Tips to Having a Successful Consultation

We want you to make the most of this opportunity and get a good start on resolving your college admission matters. Thus, it is to your advantage to follow the suggestions provided below to ensure you get the most out of the consultation.

✔️ Complete the questionnaire provided in your Order Confirmation email. In doing so, the mentor will have some background information to review with you during the consultation and will be in a better position to assist you with your study abroad queries.

✔️ Prepare relevant questions and information in advance. Outline your questions in a logical order, organize your facts and make note of any applicable dates or events.

✔️ Take notes. It can be difficult to remember what you discussed with the mentor days or even weeks later. We encourage you to take notes so you have something to jog your memory later as we do not provide a transcript and we do not allow recording of the consultation.

✔️ Research. There is nothing wrong with conducting your own research prior to the consultation.

✔️ Search through the information provided on internet sources, universities webpages, etc. While this information is of a general nature, it will help you understand the advice you are given, and may help guide your list of questions.

✔️ While not required, it is strongly recommended that you have an immediate family member involved during the consultation. It is helpful to have all interested parties involved from the beginning.

✔️ Be open to the solutions provided by the mentor. Sometimes there may be more than one option or unfortunately, no options at all. You may not hear what you expected, but we will be forthright regarding your study abroad queries.

✔️ Get ready for the call. Do not be late or reschedule at the last minute. This may incur an additional fee.

✔️ Wherever you decide to take the consultation, ensure there are minimal distractions, interruptions foot traffic and good internet service, if possible.

Since follow-up questions require an additional paid consultation, preparation is key!
